Launch of AMIYO

I am excited to be launching my jewellery label AMIYO.

Inspired by AMIYO (an ancient term meaning “this beautiful life”), each piece is made to be a touchstone for remembering our liquid light. Each piece evokes a memory of who we are in our spirit and physical form.

I have been making and designing these pieces over the past year to 18months as part of an ongoing artistic practise.

As I make or design each piece I am always given a picture of what to convey and work intuitively towards this. Sometimes the pieces take me off down hidden corridors and mysterious lanes and end up nothing like I had originally seen but seem to fit with the original vision or feeling nonetheless.

As an Artist, each piece is made to be a piece of art. I make only capsule collections of bespoke one of a kind pieces. Sometimes things can be altered to fit and sometimes a new one made and that one will always be individual and never a copy. No stone, no process or piece will ever be the same.
